Tasty Goes Underground this Saturday! Send us to Burning Man!

Dearest Loyal Tasty Customer,

Please join us Saturday, July 26th for a special evening of culinary
splendor and auditory delight, featuring a 5 course menu prepared and
served by the Tasty staff and crew, as well as special performances
and music from some of our favorite local artists.

Cost per person for the evening will be $50.
This will include a 5 course meal with 2 wine pairings. Menu listed below
We will be providing delicious vegetarian options for those so inclined.
We will also have a limited cocktail bar with $3 cocktails.
The proceeds to this event will be going towards helping the Tasty
crew on our first excursion to Burning Man and to bringing our flavor
of food, music, love and celebration out onto the playa!

Course 1 – Crostini Sampler
Heirloom bruschetta
Sauteed wild mushrooms

Course 2 – Roasted Corn/Cauliflower Soup
optional – pancetta

Course 3 – Peach Salad

Seats are limited to 50 for the entire evening so space will be
filling up fast.
There will be two seatings, one at 6:30 and the other at 9:30.
To reserve your seat, please contact Chef Christian directly at

instructions.

In your RSVP, please provide the following details
1) Your name + the names of any guests you’re bringing
2) Your seating preference (6:30 or 9:30)
3) Your dining preference (carnivore or vegetarian)

Confirmations of payment and reservations will be sent out next
weekend along with details/directions to the venue.

Tasty Gets Live! July 6!!!

Tasty is coming back with a very special 4th of July weekend event. We’ll be back in the park on Sunday, July 6, and have some special treats in store.

We’ll be having live performances for the first time, from our friends Audio Angel & Professor Bang, and scratch guitarist The Genie. On the DJ side, disco house producer and DJ Steve Summers joins resident Brent Hall and special LA guest DJ Teen.

And on the food side, Chef Christian is preparing something special. But as always (from here on out), Tasty’s Famous Fried Chicken will be anchoring the lineup.

Tasty Gets Live, July 6!!!

Watermelon Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Watermelon cubed up,
  • 1 package of feta cheese,
  • 1/2 jar of calamata olives chopped up,
  • red onion chopped up,
  • bunch of mint leaves chopped up,
  • 1/2 cup of lime juice,
  • 1/2 cup olive oil.

Preparation:

Salt and pepper to taste. Chop it all up and throw it in a bowl. Chill.

Pineapple and Pork Skewers

Ingredients:

  • Pork shoulder cut (cut diagonally and thin),
  • pineapple chunks

Preparation:

Marinate sliced meat overnight in heaps of brown sugar, toooons of diced garlic, soy sauce, and a few healthy squeezes of sri-racha! Skewer with chunks of pineapple and grill over medium heat until browned all around. Enjoy!

Short-rib and Kimchee Tacos

Ingredients:

  • Boneless short ribs (from Ranch 99 or Korean Market),
  • Korean BBQ marinade (also easy to find),
  • corn tortillas,
  • white sticky rice,
  • kimchee – radish or cabbage (your choice),
  • freshly grilled green onions

Preparation:

Marinate short rib overnight. Grill over high heat and serve all ingredients wrapped up in a tortilla.
