You know there’s nothing more you want to do with your fourth… Thursday of the month than enjoy a fantastic night with your closest peeps, enjoying some of the most delicious offerings from SF’s best food carts and eclectic beats from a trio of DJ’s.

THE GUMBO CART – “My suggestion is to find this guy, hunt him down, tackle him, and ask him to make you a nice warm bowl of gumbo.”

EL PORTENO EMPANADAS – “Taking that first bite was incredible: buttery yet light, warm, flakey, and airy pastry outer. As you begin chewing, the savory flavors of the filling hit you in waves: the robust mushroom and shallot umami, then the richness of the creme fraiche, and finally the distinctive woody parmesan; along with the seemingly omnipresent Bernal sun, I felt like I was enjoying my Empanada on a street corner somewhere in Europe or some far-removed Portuguese village neighborhood.”

SWEET CONSTRUCTIONS – “Their cookies are not your run-of- the-mill chocolate chip varieties but high quality, lovingly crafted, visually appealing, and outright scrumptious treats. Seeing all these confectionery masterpieces in the case it was difficult to choose. The chocolate crackles, orange butter stars, and snickerdoodle swirls were sublime. The right balance of flavor and sweetness with a texture that melts in your mouth.”

GOBBA GOBBA HEY – “Gobs are like dessert crack. Can’t stop, won’t stop. If I keep eating gobs, I’ll turn into a gob… Anywhoo, these little cakester creations are such a delighful treat! The first time, I tried a peaches & cream w/ peach & lemon butter cream and holy moly, I became an instant addict. At $2 a pop, I ended up buying 3 more to take home for my brother to try…but they didn’t exactly make it all the way back to Union City. Whoopsies!” – Michelle W.

GOOD FOODS CATERING – “OMG! These people aren’t cooks, they’re Porcine Artistes! I grew up in North Carolina, with some pretty fan-freakin’-tastic BBQ, and let me say these guys know their $#!T! I’m addicted to the Pulled Pork sammy!!!! Just make sure to stock up on napkins before you settle in for the feast!” – Villa S. Yup, it’s true, we’re starting a new indoor monthly coming Feb. 25.  Dirty Dishes will be bringing that same Tasty vibe to the LookOut, bringing in San Francisco’s best food carts and as always great DJs.

Tasty Four Kicks Off!

Dear Tasty Patrons,

Join us this SATURDAY, June 27, beginning at 1pm, for the kickoff of Tasty season four!  As always, the Tasty crew have been working overtime to deliver the finest beats and eats for your park pleasure.  We’ve got a nice one on tap with some great music and the always unbeatable food, and Mother Nature is looking like she may cooperate with us.

Remember, Tasty is a potluck affair, so please bring some food or drink to impress!  Definitely bring some sausages for the grill (see “International Sausage Bar” below).

We’ll be celebrating Head Chef Christian’s birthday, so wish him well when he fills your plate!  Bring your friends and family and pets, we’ll see you Saturday!

Is it Summer Already?

Damn… time flies.  I think we’re still recovering from Burning Man last year.  But, the sun and fog is making a comeback in our fair city, meaning it’s time to get our ass in gear.  More info to come, but mark your calendars for Saturday, June 27!
